Arcos de la Frontera Information

Arcos de la frontera, on the cliffs above the river Guadalete, is a beautiful white andalucian village, has been an area of strategic importantce because of its location in its active history. Surrounded by large resevoirs, Arcos de la frontera offers a vast range of sporting pursuits from fishing/angling, bathing and surfing in a beautiful setting of cobbled streets and a picturesque castle, which feature stunning relaxing views. With the sandstone chuches, white houses and the dramatic location, it is somewhat reminicent of Ronda in the Costa del Sol, although Arcos is quieter.
