Bolonia, just 15km north of the windsurfing haven of Tarifa, is a small fishing village in the Costa de la Luz. The beaches of Bolonia are one of main attractions of Bolonia with its 4000m long golden sandy beaches, with crystal blue sea, lined with pine trees. In the summer months the village is extremely popular, especially with young surfers and travellers in what is a very tranquil and relaxing area.

There are a number of beach bars and restaurants that have sprung up recently, offering all kinds of food and drink for you to enjoy, especially the local fish. There are also the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia, just to the north of the village, and many other places of interest to see. For example there is a large and beautiful 30M tall sand dune which has been declared a natural monument.
